Tabletop publisher, Jasco Games has detailed the worldwide release of a new card game based on the popular anime franchise, My Hero Academia. Developed and launched in partnership with Asmodee USA, the My Hero Academia Collectible Card Game will land at retail this summer.
The game will see players build powerful decks around the students of Class 1-A and the heroes and villains that surround them, as they battle rivals with a collection of cards inspired by the characters and quirks found in the series.
Featuring an updated card layout and considered design, the My Hero Academia Collectible Card Game is billed as ‘approachable for new players’, with the aim of introducing them to the depth and strategy of the UniVersus system, while maintaining compatibility with previous UFS/UVS releases.
“For those of you that have been around since the beginning (15 years!), be sure to welcome the new folks in, as our amazing community is about to get a little bit bigger,” read a statement from Jasco Games.
“Thanks to our partnership with Asmodee USA, My Hero Academia CCG will be available at friendly local game stores everywhere.”
The first wave of the My Hero Academia Collectible Card Game release will include the two-player Rival Deck (featuring Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo), Deck-Loadable Contetn packs (All Might, Tenya Iida, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tsuyu Asui), Booster Packs, and a series of playmats featuring characters from the hit anime series.
My Hero Academia is a Japanese anime superhero series distributed to global audiences via Funimation and Crunchyroll.
