White noise and nature sounds replace stories as Tonies makes sleeping aid sector debut

Tonies, the audio story-telling platform, is expanding its library beyond books and play to launch a new line of sleeping-aid developed to lull babies to sleep.

The new Sleepy Time Tonies feature a range of soothing sounds to help little ones wind down, including gentle lullabies, relaxing nature sounds, and calming white noise. The new collection has launched for the first time across the US.

Designed for small hands and independent play, the Tonies system works with the combination of a Toniesbox, a soft, shockproof, portable speaker cube, and the collection of Tonies – hand painted figures that each contain stories, songs, and more.

The new Sleepy Time Tonies collection will feature three specially curated Tonies to help support bedtime routines. The line up will include Bedtime Songs and Lullabies Tonie, Nap time: White Noise Tonies, and Nap Time: Nature Sounds Tonie.

Available in the US initially, the Sleepy Time Tonies will be rolled out across international markets, too, marking the firm’s first steps into the sector. The Sleepy Time Bundle will include a Toniebox, a colour-matched Creative Tonie for custom recordings, and all three Sleepy Time Tonies with a US retail price of $124.99.

Tonies will be further strengthening its US roll-out with the addition of new licensed Tonies, including BEatrix Potter’s childhood classic Peter Rabbit, Eric Hill’s Spot’s Fun with Friends, and Sam McBratney’s Guess How Much I Love You.

These are scheduled to land in April this year.
