Little Tikes digs into flourishing gardening market with Growing Garden launch

Little Tikes is encouraging kids to get their hands dirty this summer with the launch of its new Growing Garden brand, a range aimed as aspiring gardeners to get closer to nature.

The true-to-life range will feature a watering can and gloves for tending to newly planted seeds, garden hand tools bag for storing the smaller gardening essentials, the large tool set featuring the bigger tools that all gardeners need, including a shovel, rake and garden hoe, and wheelbarrow and shovel.

All sets include a Gardening Tips Booklet to help kids learn as they go, and the product boxes can be turned inside out and transformed into planters.

The addition of the Growing Garden further extends the Little Tikes outdoor and roleplay range which already features the Gas ‘n Go Mower, Turtle Sandbox and market leading water tables, the Fountain Factory and Magic Flower.

The range has been developed to tap into the growing interest in the gardening hobby as a family pursuit, driven by the pandemic.

Michelle Lilley, head of marketing UK for Little Tikes, said: “Growing Garden is one of our favourite new launches to date and we’re expecting it to be a sell-out success. We know how much kids love getting mucky in the garden and Growing Garden will let little ones feel part of the gardening fun and help to teach about sustainability and the environment as well as keeping them entertained.”

Growing Garden sees dual use of the product box, which doubles as a planter. The launch is being supported by PR, digital advertising, social media and influencer activity.
