LOL Surprise teams with Manchester Football Association for All Star B.B.s Football campaign

With Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown now laid out and news that grass roots football is to return from March 29th, LOL Surprise has partnered with Manchester Football Association to donate 500 samples of its new All Star B.B.s Football range.

The toys will be distributed through Manchester FA’s  FA Wildcats providers across Greater Manchester, with an aim to inspire young followers of the brand to get involved in the sport.

As part of the campaign, L.O.L. Surprise! has teamed up with England and Manchester City captain Steph Houghton MBE to encourage girls to get outside and play football. Houghton revealed the brand new All Star B.B.s Football range and announced the brand’s partnership with Manchester FA and its FA Wildcats providers to her 218k football mad Instagram followers.

Wildcats was created to inspire girls aged five to 11 to take up the sport for the first time or who want the opportunity to play football over the spring and summer months. The sessions provide a safe environment where girls can have fun, develop new skills and create foundations for a lifelong love of football.

The All Star B.B.s characters have had a makeover and come with new football outfits and accessories, with fans able to collect two football teams – the Teal Rockets and the Pink Lightning. The ball packaging can even become two goals for imaginative play.

Colin Bridgford, CEO for Manchester FA, said: “Teaming up with Steph and L.O.L. Surprise! will hopefully inspire a new generation of young girls who wish to follow in the footsteps of Steph and maybe one day be the future England captain.

“We are delighted to be working together and are sure the girls will benefit when we begin to distribute the new All Star B.B.s Football range.”

Samantha Wilson, UK marketing director for MGA Entertainment, added: “We are delighted to team up with Manchester FA and Steph Houghton to promote the All Star B.Bs Football range. L.O.L. Surprise! is all about empowerment and inspiring confidence in young children, this is the perfect partnership to do just that.

“We’re thrilled to be able to donate 500 samples of the product and hope the partnership will inspire more young girls to take up the sport.”

L.O.L. Surprise! All Star B.B.s is for children aged six and upwards and is available at toy retailers including: Smyths Toys, The Entertainer, Selfridges, Amazon, Argos, Tesco and Sainsburys. To find out more visit: http://www.lolsurprise.com/.
