The games and puzzles specialist, University Games has promoted two members of its senior management team as the firm positions itself for a successful 2021.
The director level moves have seen Mark Jones – who joined the business in 2018 – promoted to the role of sales director, and Gemma Lewington – appointed in 2019 – to the position of marketing director.
The directorships are announced following a very successful 2020 for University Games, a year which saw substantial growth with the acquisition of The Lagoon Group in June. Both Jones and Lewington played significant roles in the integration of this brand into the core business.
Richard Wells, managing director of University Games, said: “We have seen great development and growth within this business over the last five years, with the coming together of University Games and Paul Lamond Games and more recently the acquisition of The Lagoon Group, and with this unprecedented growth and the changes we are all faced with currently, it has never been more important to have the right people alongside me on the management team.
“The hard work, dedication, initiative and support shown by both Mark and Gemma from the day they both joined University Games has been invaluable and hugely appreciated. I am delighted that they have been rewarded with these well-deserved Directorships and I look forward to seeing the further advances that this management team can achieve together.”
