Not ones to let something like a pandemic stop it from doing the rounds, the tabletop specialist Hub Games is embarking on a Retailer Virtual World Tour this month to demo its latest games to staff and customers.
Over the coming months, the games experts will be conducting a calendar of virtual visits to retailers worldwide in a ‘joining together’ of distribution partners, retailers, and members of the Hub Games team via the means of the virtual medium.
Hub Games was quick to respond when the pandemic first struck last year with the launch of a virtual world tour to bring its portfolio of games to fans, stores, and guests. Now, with lockdown restrictions and social distancing measured still in place, the team has worked with its retail network to improve upon the concept.
The team will now host 45-minute sessions every Monday in a virtual event that will give retailers and their staff the chance to engage with customers while playing the latest Hub Games titles. The featured game will rotate every six weeks, kicking off with Prisma Arena this month.
Through the Retailer Virtual World Tour, Hub Games hopes to solve the issue of a cnacelled Toy Fair season this year. To support this initiative, distributors in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and Australia have a special offer for retailers interested in participating.
Games will live-stream on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, allowing retailers to invite customers to watch and comment. To sign-up, visit wearehubgames.com/virtual-
“We recognise that having to socially distance is making it extra challenging for many people. With the Retailer Virtual World Tour, we want to provide retailers an opportunity to engage with customers by offering them the chance to play, watch and hopefully, buy our games,” said Rory O’Connor, co-owner, Hub Games.
