Playmobil goes wild with new Adventure Zoo play theme

Playmobil has opened the doors to a new Adventure Zoo, a new play theme that invites children to create their own zoo with a range of exotic animals and numerous expansion sets.

Kids can enter the Large City Zoo through the gates, go to pay at the kiosk – and its souvenir shop – and then embark on a tour of the zoo’s spacious animal enclosures. A viewing platform presides over a raised wooden path – offering the best vantage point of the animals in each of their habitats.

Among the animals featured in the new play theme is the giraffe, who heads out for the first time with its newborn calf, and the young emperor penguins who can be spotted speeding down their slide.

Meanwhile, feeding time over at the Outdoor Lion Enclosure ensures excitement, while expansion sets can make the zoo’s viewing platform even bigger, gradually growing the zoo landscape.

Of course, meerkats, lemurs, hippos, and other children’s favourites all feature in the set, while additional animal sets include red pandas and alpacas.

“At the Petting Zoo, visitors can touch and feed popular breeds of domesticated animals, and they can even accompany the Zoo Vet with Medical Cart looking after his patients,” reads a statement from Playmobil.

“Get to know animals from far-away lands first-hand: The new Adventure Zoo from Playmobil lets children bring these animals home for playful adventures. With its realistic designs, modular concept and many popular animals, this play theme guarantees endless hours of fun for all animal lovers.”
