IMC Toys’ VIP Pets partners with Mini Mode for virtual runway event

IMC Toys is partnering with Mini Mode: Global Kids Fashion Week in a new collaboration for its popular collectable doll range, VIP Pets.

Following the successful UK launch of the range of fashionable pet-themed dolls, the newest VIP Pets Mini Fans will make their debut on Mini Mode’s virtual runway which will see mini models taking to the runway to showcase the newest collection in children’s wear.

IMC Toys has been named the headline sponsor for the event taking place during London Fashion Week this February. The event will be hosted on social media on Saturday, February 20th at 3pm for direct consumers.

As part of the collaboration with Mini Mode, IMC is creating a collection of wigs for the children to wear on the runway, duplicating the hairstyles from the dolls themselves. The dolls will then feature on the runway alongside the models.

“Nothing completes an outfit like a super cool hairstyle,” said IMC UK marketing manager, Kerry Tarrant.  “And when it comes to hair the VIP Pets Mini Fans dolls have a passion for styling, just like their idols’ VIP Pets.

“To celebrate the launch of the new range of dolls VIP Pets Mini Fans are sponsoring Mini Mode’s AW21 show. It’s the perfect platform for them to showcase their fabulous runway hairstyles, from ultra-long, multi-coloured plaits and ponytails to loose curls, in vibrant shades of pink, purple, red, green, blue and yellow.

“Mini Mode is the perfect partner for VIP Pets. A global kid’s fashion platform for the kids’ fashion market, which showcases both emerging designers and major kids brands during London Fashion Week.

“It offers seamless synergy with our VIP Pets range and Mini Fans lines – uniting elements of glamour, empowerment, creativity, and inclusivity in the global kids arena.”

Amanda Rabor, CEO and founder of Mini Mode, Global Kids Fashion Week, added: “We’re so excited to be working with a brand that represents our message of inclusivity and diversity.

“We’ve got such an exciting experience planned for the kids to watch and engage with us on the virtual runway.”

VIP Pets Mini Fans are smaller versions of their VIP Pets dolls offering a pocket-money extension to the range. The VIP Pets Mini Fans are new characters in the latest VIP Pets animated YouTube series Kitoons.

Each Mini Fan has a favourite VIP Pet, and they form six different fan squads – Pinkilicious, Disco Divas, Queen Ladies, Fantasy Club, Dream Team and Rainbow Surfers – plus Coco, the president of the fan club, and a rare collectible character.

Each Mini Fan has different coloured hair and an individual hairstyle, and comes with a heart-shaped comb capsule with surprise goodies including hair accessories to style the Mini Pets’ extra-long hair (20cm).

A new ‘glitter’ series of the pet dolls will also be on shelves from early Spring. Six characters from series one now come with new styles. Three new characters will be available, in two different styles and with different personalities and hobbies – and all with a touch of glitter.
