Posh Paws lines up Sing 2, Minions 2, Jurassic World and Classic Monsters plush with Universal

Posh Paws International has extended its long-standing partnership with Universal Brand Development to continue producing its licensed plush products as the studio rolls out new film and TV content across its blockbuster animated franchises.

Leading the charge will be the launch of a range of soft toys based on the December 2021 release, Sing 2 from Illumination. Posh Paws will be maximising marketing and PR opportunities to ensure all retail touchpoints are covered.

Amid what the firm has said is lining up to be ‘its biggest year to date’ for releases in an exclusive interview with ToyNews, Posh Paws has detailed a raft of launches for 2021, including a companion plush range based on Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru – scheduled to hit cinemas next July.

The firm is set to make ‘2021 its biggest Minions release yet’ with a range of soft toys including small seven-inch collectables, medium 10-inch and 14-inch characters, and larger than life 18-inch Minions toys.

The new year will also see Posh Paws welcome a new range of Jurassic World soft toys, available for a January launch. As the blockbuster franchise continues to command a growing presence at UK retail – fuelled by its movie slate and recent Netflix animates series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous – Posh Paws has cited now as ‘the perfect time to bring new product to market.’

“Season 2 of the Netflix series is scheduled for a 2021 release and demand for licensed Jurassic World couldn’t be stronger,2 it said.

Meanwhile, DreamWorks’ Trolls franchise remain an important focus for Posh Paws and will add freshness to its existing range with new character plush for the Trollstopia TV series that is coming to Sky Kids and NOW TV for UK customers in 2021.

Posh Paws has also developed a lovely new range of soft toys for DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and Croods 2 – the latest DreamWorks animated movie sequel set for a February 2021 release in the UK.

Available for adult and tween gifting, Posh Paws have also created items inspired by Universal Classic Monsters – cult classic characters that first came to life in the 1920’s through to the 1950’s, but will be brought to life in 2021 with plush products.
