Beyblade Burst crowns its virtual Beymaster Invitational Ultimate Champion

Beyblade Burst, the popular global brand and physical spinning top toy range, has crowned the ultimate champion of its first all-digital Beymaster Invitational, an event that ran throughout October and pitted 12 Beyblade influencers against one another in a virtual worldwide competition.

It was Brazil’s Cyprus’s Channel that was named the ultimate champion, securing the trophy and a $10,000 cash prize.

“In the tournament I faced a number of top-rank opponents,” said Cyprus’s Channel. “I hope that with this victory, Beyblade becomes even more popular in Brazil, and new fans get to have fun with the Beyblade Burst series and the Beyblade Burst App.”

The channel fought off stiff competition from well-known influencers, including OsvarutoBeyz, Beyblade Geeks, Zankye, Ilinnuc, Jp0t, Ninja Kidz TV, Damian & Deion in Motion, Statik Gamer, The Ohana Adventure, Fun with the Bugs, and Paudazzle.

Facilitated through the Beyblade Burst app, the Beymaster Invitational featured these top contenders from around the globe who competed in a virtual head-to-head championship using digital versions of Beyblade tops, with eliminations taking place every round. Fans were able to participate at home by casting their votes for their favorite influencer on the Beyblade Burst app.

The competition was streamed live on master toy partner Hasbro’s Facebook page, with preliminary battles taking place on October 17th, while the Quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final matches culminated on October 24th.  Fans can relive the excitement of this entire championship by watching Part 1 and Part 2 on the Beyblade Burst official Youtube Channel.

“The Beyblade Burst Beymaster Invitational was an overwhelming success and is an example of the agility of our business and our commitment to delivering fans authentic opportunities to have fun and engage with Beyblade during these truly unprecedented times,” said Shawn Wada, president and CEO of ADK Emotions NY Inc.

Originating in Japan in 1999, the Beyblade brand is currently in its third generation, with five animated seasons to date; Beyblade Burst, Beyblade Burst Evolution, Beyblade Burst Turbo, Beyblade Burst Rise, and Beyblade Burst Surge set to air in 2021.

Fans can download the Beyblade Burst app (available in the App Store and Google Play for supported iOS and Android devices) and join the more than one billion online battles that have taken place around the world while testing out different top combinations in head-to-head battle or in multi-player tournament mode.

Hasbro and ADK Emotions anticipate more fan engagement with the app in the year to come. 2021 will be another eventful year for the brand with new top innovations, a new animation season, more content, and 20th anniversary plans on the way.
