LEGO Super Mario has done it again, cracking another retailer’s top ten toys for Christmas 2020, as the supermarket giant, Tesco reveals its own predictions of the wish list winners this year.
Alongside the popular Nintendo and LEGO collaborative building set, toy vehicles and play-sets that “entertain children for longer”, such as the PAW Patrol Dino Patroller, and the Monster Jam Grave Digger, have been pipped as this year’s hits by the retailer.
Lockdown has revived an interest in role-playing games and evergreen classics, says Tesco, who highlights Mattel’s Pictionary Air alongside the Fisher-Price Rollin’ Rovee on its top ten list for 2020.
Tesco’s Anne Borrett said: “Vehicles are seeing huge growth and there’s been a resurgence in toys that entertain longer.”
