Jazwares pioneers Alexa compatible plush range called Fuzzible Friends

Jazwares is pioneering a new kind of plush pet that comes compatible with Alexa Gadgets Technology to bring a new level of interactive play to children. Called Fuzzible Friends, the range uses a Fuzzible Skill for Alexa through which it speaks its own language for the Amazon Echo device to translate.

Children can then play games with their Fuzzible and interact via the Alexa device in order to guess the colours, choose their own stories, and more. The new range features four Fuzzible Friends to collect, including Cubby the Fox, Fluff the Bunny, Sparkles the Unicorn, and Cuddles the Puppy.

“It’s been a unique opportunity to be able to bring the Alexa technology into the world of play in a brand new and enriching way,” said Jeremy Padawer, EVP and partner at Jazwares. “Fuzzible Friends utilises the technology to open new doors for our children’s already active imagination.”

Developed for kids aged three and upwards, the Fuzzible Friends line is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and Jazwares assures that the range do not collect the child’s personal identifiable information.

Each plush arrives speakerless and microphoneless. Interaction occurs once it has been paired with the compatible Echo device via Bluetooth. Once connected, kids can interact with over 40 sounds and 140 translated phrases. The plush range also boasts a level of interactivity when not connected, lighting up and speaking its language with each press of its paws.

Jazwares highlights that children will never verbally communicate with the Amazon Echo device directly during play and that the Fuzzible Friends do not collect the child’s personal identifiable information. When the Fuzzible interacts with the Amazon Echo it does so with parental permission consistent with COPPA compliance and industry guidelines.
