E-commerce platform Kooomo enters nursery and toy market with Kaliedy

The global e-commerce platform, Kooomo is diving into the nursery and toy market with the launch of Kaliedy, a new online retail space developed for parents and families in Ireland looking for baby essentials, nursery items, toys, and books.

Not only does Kaliedy boast to be build upon over 95 years of experience in the baby industry, it is also the exclusive stockist of the Early Learning Centre toys across Ireland. The new platform aims to deliver consumers an intuitive website design, as well as an ‘innovative new warehousing system’ that makes home delivery quick and easy for shoppers.

The site has been launched in response to the ongoing pandemic situation and the rapidly shifting consumer habit towards online shopping in the wake of lockdown and measures taken in response to the crisis.

A statement from the company said: ‘With clear category and product pages, providing all additional information required, stunning product images, customer Instagram images and a range of payment options, the new site provides a seamless UX.’

Ben Ward, head of digital at Kaliedy, said: “The Kooomo platform allowed us to expand online during a very uncertain time. We needed something that was flexible and agile to keep up with today’s fast-changing landscape. We can rest assured that no matter what the rest of 2020 and beyond brings, our online sales channels are synced, optimised and managed with ease.”

Ciaran Bollard, CEO of Kooomo, added: “With a customer base of parents-to-be and families, it was critical that we made an intuitive platform for Kaliedy that put busy parents at the heart of its design. Products need to be found easily and rapidly and the checkout and delivery processes need to be seamless.

“We’re thrilled to have delivered on these points for Kaliedy and as it enters the market, we have no doubt that it will go from strength to strength over the coming years, through this unrivaled eCommerce site.”
