Voting is now open for People of Play’s 2020 TAGIE Awards

People of Play – formerly known as Chicago Toy and Game – has unveiled its list of Toy and Game International Excellence awards finalists.

Spanning categories such as Toy Inventor of the Year, Game Inventor of the Year and Young Inventor of the Year, the 13th annual TAGIE Awards honours the best innovator, designers, marketers, retailers, and suppliers in the toy and game industry, as well as celebrates the up and coming talent in the industry.

Among the young blood to be nominated in this year’ list of finalists is 17 year old Harrison Brooks, the creator and designer behind ElevatorUp, a card game that, having hit retailers shelves just two months ago, had been in development since Brooks was 12 years old.

Nominated alongside his peers in the space, including Alex Butler, the creator of Bold Made Game made by Hot Taco, and Charlie Lowrey and his creation, Freckleball, Brooks finds himself rubbing shoulders with some of the industry’s biggest names including Hasbro, GUND, Spin Master, and Fisher-Price.
