Drumond Park, Geomag, and Kid Kreations’ fashion doll brand, DesignaFriend and the Argos top 12 toys for Christmas pick, Sisi Doll, will be among the headline acts at the returning Play at Home Fest this weekend. The second installment of the popular virtual family festival follows on from the vast success of the inaugural show this May.
Hosted by Dr Gummer’s Good Play Guide, the festival will star the up and coming kidfluencer, Sisi – star of the West End stage and daughter of the children’s TV presenter, Nigel Clarke. Sisi will be hosting the festival this weekend.
Also making a comeback at the family event across a huge range of exciting appearances and activities, will be Aardman with Shaun the Sheep, Geomag, Drumond Park’s Articulate for Kids, official festival time-keeper, EasyRead Time Teacher, and Little Brian Paint Sticks from Trends UK.
Newcomers to the Play at Home Fest line-up include Nick Jr. with PAW Patrol and Blue’s Clues and You!, Acamar Films Dreamtex and HarperCollins with Bing and Rainbow with 44 Cats, along with Epoch’s Sylvanian Families, Aquabeads, TOMY and The Essential One.
Families worldwide will be able to join the event, designed to bring play back to families during 2020’s summer of cancelled live entertainment, throughout the day on Saturday, August 29th. Two virtual stages will be streamed live to living rooms, gardens, campsites, holiday cottages, and anywhere else where children and their families are over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The first Play at Home Fest accrued an incredible 71,000 views and was streamed into the homes of 14,000 families, with social media impressions reaching 750,000 on Good Play Guide channels alone.
“We were blown away by the success of the first Play at Home Fest, and it was a no-brainer to bring families together again for more fun during this period when playful experiences are needed more than ever,” said Amanda Gummer, founder and CEO of Dr Gummer’s Good Play Guide.
“I’m really pleased to have been able to support some amazing brands during a period when marketing and promotion has been particularly difficult, while also bringing fun and play to the forefront for consumers. The calibre of the acts signed up again for this weekend’s event shows just how beneficial this initiative has been for all involved.”
