Emmerdale star Charley Webb launches new sustainable toy brand Nordi Babi

The Emmerdale star and entrepreneur, Charley Webb has launched a new toy brand for babies and pre-schoolers, inspired by the Scandinavian look and style. Called Nordi Babi, the toy line was launched via the soap star’s Instagram page, with the first run already a sell-out success.

Webb – who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap – established the Nordi Babi business with her husband Matthew Wolfenden – another Emmerdale actor who plays David Metcalf in the TV show – in a move to supply a range of sustainable children’s toys inspired by the simplicity of the Scandinavian design.

Nordi Babi was unveiled to the world via Webb’s Instagram platform, on which she wrote: “Our own business. I can’t believe it. I’m beyond excited for this but also so nervous. We’ve wanted to do this for years and we’ve finally got to the stage where we can make it happen.

“We’re starting off really small and hopefully we will expand as we go. Scandinavian style is my favourite whether it’s toys or decor and with Nordi Babi we hope to bring you a little bit of what we love. I can’t wait for you guys to go on this journey with us.”

Following her initial post, Webb revealed via her Instagram Story that some of their items have already sold out.

“We’ve been so, so overwhelmed with the support and response. We’ve been so busy today with orders,” she said via the social media platform.

Webb is an entrepreneurial mother of three – Buster, aged 10, Bowie, aged four, and 12-month-old Ace.

Webb shared a first look at a red lorry that had three removable bricks, which is listed as £10.95 on the website, as well as a car and boat pull along toy that is £17.95 and an airplane which is also £17.95. She was also particularly taken with a wooden Noah’s Ark set that came complete with pairs of animals, and is £69.95.

“This is the Noah’s Ark, it is the most beautifully made toy I think I’ve ever seen. And all the animals to go with it. So so stunning. I think the elephants are my favourite.”
