Asmodee introduces its own virtual trade event AsmoFair for 2020

The board game giant, Asmodee is innovating new ways to connect with its retailers this autumn with the launch of its own virtual trade show experience, AsmoFair.

Taking its own stance against the swell of cancelled industry shows this year, the board game distributor has partnered with its sister company Coiledspring Games to launch the virtual event that will run from September 2nd to September 5 this year with the aim of bringing the trade show experience to its retailers, wherever they may be.

By visiting, buyers can book a 25-minute video call to the Asmodee showroom, in which they’ll meet members of the sales team and get a sneak peek at some of the company’s most exciting products in a virtual tour of what would have been on stand.

“We’ve been attending trade shows for many years and are keenly aware of how valuable an opportunity they are for all parties,” said Anil Boodhoo, Asmodee’s sales and marketing director. “It’s important to us to keep open those lines of communication and, while it’s not how any of us would have expected to be attending shows this year, we’ve worked hard to ensure that the AsmoFair will be the next best thing.”

The virtual show represents an opportunity to discover the latest additions to Asmodee’s flagship Dobble range, from the classic edition that has been the UK’s number one-selling game for two years running to its new mechanised evolution in the form of Dobble 360. With major new licensed editions as well, teaming up with beloved brands including The Gruffalo, L.O.L. Surprise and Harry Potter, Dobble continues to go from strength to strength.

Familiar faces from the sales team will be demonstrating what makes addictive word game Bananagrams a perennial favourite, and highlighting Pokémon Battle Academy – a game-changing new product that offers a better-than-ever way to discover the huge-selling Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Retailers will also be able to get a look at Asmodee’s key ranges of the best board games on the market, including the Modern Classics, Party Games, Family Games and Quick Play titles.

Asmodee has released a video teaser for a visual preview of the event.
