Nominations for the Toy of the Year Awards 2021 are now open

Despite 2020 being far from the usual year within the toy industry, the annual toy awards season simply cannot be stopped as nominations now open for the Toy of the Year Awards 2021.

Known by many as the Oscars of the toy industry, the TOTYs are presented each year to the top toys, games, and properties of the past 12 months at a ceremony hosted by the Toy Association with winners revealed on the first night of the New York Toy Fair.

Nominations for the 2021 awards close on September 2nd, 2020. A nomination committee comprised of play experts, journalists, academics, retailers, and other toy experts will determine the official TOTY finalists.

Voting for TOTY 2021 winners will then open in the week of October 26th, 2020 and close on January 5th, 2021. Winners will be kept confidential until they are announced at the awards ceremony.

  • Toy of the Year
