University Games appoints Jessica Foreshew to national account manager role following acquisition of Lagoon Group

Games and puzzles specialist, University Games has welcomed Jessica Foreshew to the team. She will take on the role of national account manager, following the acquisition of The Lagoon Group last month.

Foreshew has a wealth of experience in the gift sector, having joined The Lagoon Group in 2017 where she focussed on national and major accounts in the UK, as well as working with international distributors. Prior to her time at Lagoon, she also gained extensive experience in both the technology and cosmetic industries.

Foreshew’s role will see her work alongside Mark Jones, head of sales at University Games, on major national accounts across both the toy and gift sectors.

“Jessica is a fantastic asset to our sales team. She has brought with her a wealth of both customer and product knowledge that she has been able to share with our entire sales force, enabling them to get quickly up to speed on a large new product portfolio and customer relations,” said Jones.

“University Games has an extremely strong and successful sales team supporting our independent retailers across the whole of the UK. This is not something that has been part of the Lagoon sales strategy in the past but something that I am certain will be a huge benefit for the product range and Jessica will be vital in helping to support this.

“There is a great synergy between University Games and The Lagoon Group and the acquisition has opened avenues for both businesses across both the toy and gift sectors. Lagoon’s distribution into gift stores, garden centres, book shops and tourist outlets very much complements the areas where we are strong as a business,” added Jones.

Lagoon boasts a strong range of games and puzzles, including some common and complimentary licenses that will strengthen both brands including The World of David Walliams, Professor Rubik, Einstein² and Question of Sport.

University Games is the name behind some of the ever-popular games including Smart Ass, Perudo, Subbuteo, What’s Up and Don’t Say it and a comprehensive portfolio of innovative products to cater for the whole family, from preschool through to adult.
