Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang make Playmobil debut with three new launches

Scooby-Doo and the cast of Mystery Inc. have leapt into action in the toy space once again, this time courtesy of a new range of building sets and collectables from the German toy manufacturer, Playmobil.

For more than 50 years, the Great Dane Scooby-Doo and the four teen detectives of Mystery Inc. have been delighting an audience of millions. The timeless and popular animation now makes its debut with Playmobil, as the toymaker brings Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma into the construction aisle. The play-sets were first introduced in May this year.

With two cinema sequels, an animated series, and numerous video and mobile games already in the bag, the Mystery Inc. gang are now also available as detailed play-sets. The Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine takes Scooby and his detective pals to their mysterious cases, while kids can attempt to solve the riddles themselves with the collectable ghost cards.

Playmobil has also released its version of the iconic Mystery Machine from the Scooby-Doo franchise. The Mystery Inc vehicle includes Fred, Daphne and Velma ready to unmask even the scariest of ghouls. In the back of the vehicle is a ghost card reader, which can be used to identify ghosts from the ghost cards that come with each Scooby-doo set.

Finally, for the collectable fans there are twelve classic ghost characters to collect from the 70288 Surprise bags. Each bag includes a ghost with accessories to build who can be unmasked to reveal a dastardly criminal.

Each bag includes a ghost card which can be used in conjunction with the Mystery Machine and stickers, allowing kids and fans to collect their own sticker poster (available from in stores and from Playmobil direct).
