Golden Bear launches the next evolution of escape room games with TRAPPED

Golden Bear has put itself at the forefront the next evolution of the escape room game with the launch of TRAPPED: Escape Room Game Packs, a series of game packs that transform any room in an escape room experience.

Designed by real escape-room experts, the three TRAPPED game packs in series one launch this July and each contains all of the components needed to turn any room into a puzzle that players must escape. Players simply put the pack contents on walls and surfaces in a room of choice, and then work together – or compete – top beat the clock, crack the clues, solve the puzzles, and escape the room.

The family-friendly games are design to get everyone up and about thinking, talking, and having fun and are suitable for children aged eight years old and upwards. Choose from The Carnival, The Art Heist and The Bank Job – each with its own content, back-story and level of difficulty. As the easiest of the levels, Carnival is the ideal game to play with younger children, before progressing to the ‘medium’ Art Heist or ‘hard’ Bank Job for teens through to adults.

“There’s been a huge increase in the popularity of escape rooms over the past decade with the market still growing,” said Kathy Lesser, brand manager, Golden Bear.

“We want to bring the escape room experience to everyone and within the comfort of their own surroundings – and this is the ideal time to introduce this world-first game concept. Consumers are looking for new home-based entertainment that promotes family interaction which TRAPPED does in abundance.

“Just add people and the play begins by looking at the puzzles around the room and working as individuals or as part of a team to crack the codes, and score points with the ultimate mission of escaping the room. With lockdown gradually easing, it also makes for a great night in with friends. TRAPPED is unlike most other escape room games because once you’ve played you can put everything back in the box and pass it on so someone else can enjoy the fun.”

To support the retail launch in July and continuing throughout AW20, Golden Bear has engaged Playtime PR to undertake a robust PR, social, and specialist influencer marketing campaign together with the creation of strategic tailored content.
