Tonies launches two new characters to its popular children’s audio system

The popular children’s audio system Tonies is continuing to bolster its line up of screen-less storytelling characters with the addition of two new Tonies figures to the range in the form of the Playtime and Action Songs 2 Tonie, and the Creative-Tonie Fairy.

Classic children’s songs such as Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, the Alphabet Song, and Rain, Rain, Go Away have been brought to the platform through the medium of a spotty Dalmation Tonie figure – the second in the company’s collection of best-loved kids’ songs.

Meanwhile, the Creative-Tonie Fairy has the power to make any song, story or message appear on the Toniebox, enabling users to record their own audio via the Tonie-App or mytonies. Parents can record their own bedtime story or audio adventure with a 90 minute recording time available.

Tonies UK general manager, Manon Sel, said: “We are delighted to announce two great additions this month that we hope will enchant children’s Tonieboxes. These two new Tonies join an already stellar line up of both licensed and Tonie-owned figures and bolster our expanding range of audio content.”

Launched in the UK in 2018 by Patric Faßbender and his friend and co-founder Marcus Stahl, the Toniebox is an intuitive speaker system that is revolutionising story time for children thanks to its lack of screens and complicated controls. It is an easy, fun and interactive way for three to eight year olds to play their favourite stories and songs – simply place a Tonie on top of the box and the audio content related to that Tonie will begin to play.

Over 14 million Tonies and 1.5 million Tonieboxes have been sold across Europe since the launch and 2020 started with the exciting announcement of the brands’ expansion to the USA, expected towards the end of this year.
