The Entertainer to close all stores from 5pm today but maintain online operations

The Entertainer is to close its high street stores from 5pm today, Monday, March 23rd, in light of the developing coronavirus pandemic. The UK toy chain made the announcement via its social media channels this morning.

The move arrives following the call from the UK Government for family and individuals to remain at home and practice social distancing and self isolation amid the developing COVID-19 situation.

“We have taken this decision with a very heavy heart but the safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers is our priority,” said the company via its social media announcement.

“We’re wishing you all the very best, from our family to yours, and looking forward to welcoming you back to our stores soon.”

The Entertainer will continue to operate its online service across both TheToyShop.com and elc.co.uk
