The Independent Toy and Gift Show cancelled over coronavirus outbreak advice

The Independent Toy and Gift Show, scheduled to have taken place on April 21 to 22 has been cancelled due to the escalating coronavirus outbreak, the show’s organisers confirmed this morning.

The move to cancel the show follows the latest Government advice surrounding travel, public gatherings, and social distancing issued in order to flatten the curve of the current COVID-19 outbreak and ease pressure on the UK’s healthcare system.

Show organisers said in a statement: “Due to the latest advice regarding Coronavirus, we would like to advise that the Independent Toy and Gift Show is now cancelled. We would like to thank all our exhibitors and those registered to attend for their patience and support during this period.”

The Independent Toy and Gift show was to take up its usual residence in Solihull next month. Its show organisers have stated that it will keep members and the industry informed on its 2021 show dates.
