Toei Animation taps Spacetoon and ToyPro to bring Dragon Ball Super animation and toy line to MENA

Toei Animation is looking to grow its global audience for its hit Dragon Ball Super franchise, teaming with Spacetoon to launch the series across TV, its SVOD platform Spacetoon Go, and a range of toys across MENA.

The third season of the popular Dragon Ball Super series has already been met with vast success across Europe, and is now looking to build its fan base across the MENA region from this March, ahead of the launch of the toy range to the region by mid 2020.

The toys will be distributed in the MENA market by ToyPro, a Dubai-based company, and the official distributor of Dragon Ball Super toys.

Commenting on this, Fayez Al Sabbagh, president of Spacetoon, said: “We are so proud to be the company which introduced this successful franchise for the first-time years ago and to bring it back again to MENA through Spacetoon. We are impressed by the toy line and the quality of the toys created by Bandai, and we are very excited to be part of launching this toy line into the MENA market in collaboration with ToyPro and deliver the toys to the hands of customers in 2020.”

Back in 2019, Spacetoon announced the launch of its streaming video on demand platform, Spacetoon Go that caters to cartoon and anime viewers and provides them with exclusive content in different language options. The newest partnership will offer a boon to the fans of anime and the Dragon Ball Super franchise across the territory.
