Vivid is taking a step into the wild with the launch of its newest AniMagic Interactive duo, Charlie and Chip, a mother and baby gorilla pair that can interact with each other and kids.
Charlie and Chip will swing into retail from September, retailing at £69.99 and boasting interactive features such as cuddling, feeding time, and napping. Just to tug on the heart strings that little bit more, if Chip wanders too far from mum Charlie, both will begin to whimper until they are reunited.
“We’re really excited about our marketing activation plan to support the launch of Charlie and Chip,” said marketing manager Tom Bennie.
“We will kick off the campaign by hosting a special celebrity launch event for the press at ZSL London Zoo following World Gorilla Day in September. Alongside traditional TV advertising, we are also pulling together digital content and a social media campaign to truly engage with kids and parents.”
Vivid has stated it has “bold ambitions” to make sure troops of gorillas reach the top of the Christmas wish lists this year.
