Winnie the Pooh is joining the LEGO portfolio thanks to LEGO Ideas

Confirmation has come in that LEGO is to develop and launch a new LEGO Winnie the Pooh offering in partnership with Disney, as part of its LEGO Ideas range.

LEGO Ideas is a LEGO fan invention platform in which ideas and builds are pitched to the Danish toymaker, put to a vote, and then a panel of LEGO judges who will then choose which ideas to bring to shelves.

In its latest round, 11 different models were fighting for the coveted win, but whittles down to the two selected winners that includes the Winnie the Pooh LEGO Ideas kit. The upcoming launch will include Minifigures of Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Piglet, and Eeyore. It will also feature the iconic treehouse in Hundred Acre Wood, complete with a full interior.

LEGO will also be launching a new non-licensed build via the platform in the shape of the Medieval Blacksmith, an olde worlde style cottage complete with exposed beams and medieval style brickwork.
