Marvel makes Kickstarter debut with powerful new project from CMON and Spin Master Games

Click the link and watch the money pour into this Kickstarter project before your very eyes, because for the first time, Marvel has taken to the crowdfunding platform to launch a new tabletop title.

Developed by the team of experts at CMON, the project is called Marvel United, a game in which players take on the role of Marvel’s mightiest heroes in order to thwart the plans of its notorious villains through a fast-paced co-operative game.

The game marks the first time that an official Marvel product has made an appearance on the pages of Kickstarter. The game starts at $60 for the basic kit, with add-ons in the shape of additional packs of cards with miniature of specific heroes available to those that pledge higher.

What’s more, the game has been developed in partnership with Spin Master Games, giving the project the extra weight.

‘It’s time to become the Heroes you were always meant to be! Designed by Eric M. Lang and Andrea Chiarvesio, Marvel United is a fast-paced cooperative game where players take control of Marvel Super Heroes and band together to thwart the master plans of the most dangerous Villains in the universe,’ reads the game’s Kickstarter page. 

‘With an all-new visual take by Edouard Guiton, brought to life in fantastic sculpts, Marvel United will challenge you and your friends. Only by standing united will you have any chance of victory.’

With 6,784 backers and 21 days to go, Marvel United has already surpassed its Kickstarter goal of £115,000 and at the time of writing was surging towards £350,000. 

Keep an eye on this one, there are expectations for this title to go big.
