Ginger Fox finds success in Taskmaster and US expansion as it gears for big 2020

The licensed gifts, games, and toys specialist, Ginger Fox has highlighted the success of its new Taskmaster Board Game, as well as the expansion of its US business as major contributors to a strong 2019 for the firm, despite the challenges faced by much of the UK market.

Speaking with ToyNews, product director, Lewis Allen, stated that 2020 will be about ‘building on the momentum generated throughout 2019,’ with the introduction of new and exciting licensed games and expansions, as well as continued generation of its own IP.

To launch its latest product developments, Ginger Fox has set up for this week’s Spring Fair, where it will introduce visitors to its newest collection of jigsaw puzzles.

Among the collection, Ginger Fox’s new range of Carnovsky Puzzles explore the interaction between colour and light. Puzzle fans can look through the red, green and blue viewing glasses included, to isolate each layer of this mind-bending 500-piece puzzle.

Meanwhile, the company’s best-selling Matchbox Games and Matchbox Trivia cards feature new content and designs for 2020, while the new Ultimate Arrogance is an easy-to-learn, high-stakes naming game of bluffing and deception.

Ginger Fox has seen particular success with its licensed Taskmaster Board Game, based on the award-winning entertainment series hosted by Greg Davies and devised by Alex Horne. A Dave original, the show will be moving to Channel 4 later this year.

It’s joined by the licensed card game collection including Catchphrase and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.

It’s not just licenses driving Ginger Fox into 2020. The firm has also underlined its commitment to sustainability for the future as it begins to implement its Sustainability Promise across all of its new product developments.

Allen added: “This project looks at stopping the use of single-use plastics, all disposable packaging being recyclable and the use of only FSC or recycled paper and card, amongst a number of other meaningful goals.

“This is just the start of a much longer journey towards becoming an environmentally and socially sustainable business. Come and see us at the show to hear more about our Sustainability Promise or find more information at hacche.co.uk/sustainability.”
