The Pokémon World Championships is coming to London for the first time

The Pokémon World Championships is coming to London for the first time in its history in a move that underscores the continued popularity of the Pokémon brand here in the UK.

The Pokémon Company International has now confirmed that thee Championships will be held at ExCeL London from August 14th to 16th this year. It will see the best Pokémon Trading Card Game and video game players from around the world battle it out in their respective fields for the title.

Fans are welcome to purchase spectator passes and witness the slogging it out of the champions in what has been billed as the ‘most prestigious event in the Pokémon Championship series.’

The 2020 Pokémon World Championships will also be home to a Pokémon Center store, where fans will be able to purchase a wide variety of products including a range of items themed around the tournament.

It arrives to the UK following another big year for the Pokémon franchise that continues to see big sales at retail across its Trading Card Game and newest video game releases.
