LEGO partners with DC Comics and Warner to reveal next collectable Minifigures

LEGO will be turning to the DC Comics universe for its next wave of collectable Minifigures for 2020, the Danish toy maker has confirmed, as the first images of the new line emerge.

Batman, Super Man, and Wonder Woman will be among the cast of 16 minifigures to collect, each arriving in the usual blind-bagged LEGO Minifigure packaging. The reveal has confirmed rumours that LEGO would be taking inspiration from the comic book franchise that first circulated in September.

The latest wave will feature the likes of Bat-Mite, Jay Garrick Flash, Metamorpho, Stargirl, The Joker, and Rebirth Superman, alongside Batman First Appearance, Classic Cheetah, Teen Titans Bumblebee, and 1966 Wonder Woman.

Fans had best start reading up on their DC lore, as the line-up becomes more obscure from there, with the likes of Mr Miraclee, Teen Titans Cyborg, Simon Baz Green Lantern, Classic Sinesro, and Huntress making up the pack. Of course, Aquaman will feature, too.

The LEGO Collectable Minifigures DC Series is expected to launch in January 2020.
