Mattel launches BTS collectable mini figures in latest K-Pop collab

Mattel is making a play for the pop culture collectables market with the launch of a new line of mini figures inspired by the global phenomenon and K-Pop band, BTS.

The toymaker made the announcement via Twitter when it declared: “Because who doesn’t love tiny surprises?!? Show you love by collecting all seven.”

The seven mini figures will feature the likeness of BTS’ V, Jin, RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook and Jimin. Each of the seven figures, described by Mattel as “adorable recreations” of the band, will feature members of BTS in looks inspired by their outfits in the 2018 IDOL music video.

The seven figures stand at around three-inches tall and can be displayed standing up on a base that carries each member’s name. This marks the latest in an ongoing collaboration between Mattel and BTS, and follows the successful BTS doll range.
