Smiffys prepares for Destination Star Trek with new range of official dress up

The dress up and party specialist, Smiffys, has secured a new line of official Star Trek costumes, thanks to a deal brokered by Wildbrain CPLG with the brand owners, CBS Consumer Products.

Smiffys’ exclusive range of Star Trek dress-up pays homage to the franchise’s favourite characters and will launch officially on the 25th October at this year’s Destination Star Trek.

The range features picks from The Original Series, including Captain Kirk Command and Spock Science uniforms; The Next Generation, including Captain Picard and Data Operations uniforms; and Voyager, that features Captain Janeway Command and Starfleet Operations uniforms.

“Star Trek has always been popular; with its timeless appeal, our first designs are an ode to the classic series. We love having retro licenses as part of our growing license portfolio; the Star Trek range brings the magic of the Starship Enterprise to life,” said Dominique Peckett, director at Smiffys.

Available in stock from October 2019, ‘resisting this dress-up would be nothing short of futile,’ adds Smiffys.

Smiffys will be exhibiting at Destination Star Trek in Birmingham, at the NEC, from October 25 to 27 this year. Smiffys is a leading supplier of fancy-dress costumes, wigs, accessories and make up. The company, originally founded as R H Smith & Sons (Wigmakers) but now more commonly known as Smiffys, is a family-run company and has been in business since 1894.
