Hasbro names Matthew Austin president and GM for European sales and marketing

Hasbro has appointed a new president and general manager for its European sales and marketing team, in the form of Matthew Austin.

In his new role, Austin will be leading Hasbro SA’s services and distribution network across Europe. He joins from :Lindt & Sprungli, where he was CEO for the UK and Ireland.

Prior to Lindt, Austin worked for Mars as general manager for European confections and general manager for Mars Food in Germany. Austin will report into Wiebe Tinga, Hasbro’s chief commercial officer.

“We are thrilled to have Matt join our team as we continue to execute our strategy and unlock the power of our brands across Europe,” said Tinga. “Matt’s leadership and in-depth knowledge of the market will help our teams navigate the ever-changing shifts in retail and consumer behaviour across the region.”
