Made For Mums reveals Made For Mums Toy Awards 2019 winners

Spin Master’s Owleez, MGA’s LOL Surprise and Wow Stuff’s Harry Potter invisibility cloak have all made this year’s Made For Mums Toy Awards 2019 winners’ list, alongside no less than 52 other must have products for this Christmas.

MadeForMums, the UK’s leading parenting site for product reviews, has revealed the winners of the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2019 – as chosen by nearly 500 child judges and highlighting this year’s must-have Christmas toys.

This year saw a record number of board game entries, reflecting one of the toy industry’s biggest trends – from simple pairing games like Cobra Paw, to an updated version of Articulate and a new voice-activated Monopoly, giving the industry’s slate of new tech toys out there (such as GeoSmart Flip Bot, Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak and My First Drone), a run for their money.

This year, Hatchimals fans can look forward to Owleez, an interactive pet that flies, while the hugely successful L.O.L Surprise! toy brand has launched 2-in-1 Glamper Playset with more than 55 surprises to unbox.

Trampolines have gone split-level with TP’s Infinity Leap Trampoline, the Xootz Bubble Scooter leaves a trail of bubbles in its wake and Kristal is a doll who needs nursing through cough, fever and red spots.

The MadeForMums Toy Awards 2019 celebrate the best children’s toys at every age and stage from newborn to preteens, with 35 categories covering everything from Best Baby Toy and Best Toddler Toy to Best Science/STEM Toy, Best Playset, Best Educational Toy and Best Scooter.

There are also five special Editor’s Choice awards for toys that really stand out from the crowd.

Susie Boone, editor MadeForMums, said: “The results of this year’s MadeForMums Toy Awards judging show that toys with simple play appeal remain real hits with children and their parents. It’s great to see that family games are still hugely popular in 2019 and can compete on Santa lists this Christmas alongside innovative technology toys and clever twists on recent favourites.”
