Games Workshop and Marvel have detailed a new collaboration to create a new series of Warhammer comics, due to land in autumn 2020.
Marvel Comics is the iconic name behind many of the world’s best-loved super hero characters (you know, like Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four) and proudly boasts more than 80 years of comics experience.
Over that time, Marvel has built a reputation for bringing together the best comic book writers and artists to forge stories that span generations, cementing itself as a household name.
Both Games Workshop and Marvel are remaining tight-lipped over details of the deal. Announced via a post on the official Warhammer Community forum, it simply said:
“We haven’t got any more details we can share right now (we like to imagine that, even as we write, super-cool clandestine meetings are being conducted in a hidden lair somewhere) but, rest assured, as soon as there’s more information, we’ll be bringing it to you right here.”
“I can’t tell you how excited we are about diving into the depths of the expansive universes of Warhammer,” Marvel editor Mark Basso said as part of the press release announcing the deal.
“At Marvel, we’re no strangers to telling deeply character-focused tales set in an interconnected world of stories, and fans are going to love what we’re already starting to cook up with the Games Workshop team for the Warhammer comics.”
