LEGO teases upcoming Friends Central Perk building set

The LEGO Group has teased an upcoming LEGO Ideas Friends Central Perk café set on social media, in the same year that the US sitcom continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Chandler, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe will all be there for us, when the building set inspired by the iconic Central Perk from the hit ‘90s sitcom lands in the coming weeks.

Commentators suggest that the set will likely be imminent, given that LEGO has already teases the licensed build in a tweet that includes a LEGO version of a snippet of the show’s opening title sequence.

The brick recreation of Central Perk was devised by LEGO fan Aymeric Fievet, whose concept uses 1,719 pieces to recreate the much-loved set.

LEGO has teases the launch as ‘The one with LEGO bricks.’

Having launched to screens in 1994, Friends is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary with a growing consumer products programme.
