The team behind the popular children’s audio system, Tonies, a product that plays songs and audio books based on popular children’s characters, has partnered with Disney to launch a new line, kicking off this year with The Lion King and The Jungle Book.
The new licensed additions will launch on August 15 this year. Each Disney Tonie will ‘breathe a fresh new burst of creativity into the classic Disney stories,’ and will arrive hand painted and ful of catchy songs.
The Lion King will run at approximately 30 minutes and include a story as well as classic songs such as ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’. Meanwhile, The Jungle Book will run at approximately 24 minutes and features the famous sing-along songs ‘The Bare Necessities’ and ‘I Wan’na Be Like You’ (The Monkey Song).
Tonies first launched to the toy scene in 2018, and have already been met with great positive response from the industry and consumers.

Disney’s timeless, magical tales have been inspiring children’s imaginations for decades, and Tonies is ‘delighted to partake in the tradition’.
Faßbender added: “Having the opportunity to bring some of these heroes to life as three-dimensional Tonies is particularly exciting.”
Further Disney titles will be added to the Tonies collection later this year, as well as a number of other exciting licenses and characters. The portfolio, which already combines a wide range of stories, music and knowledge, is constantly being extended – with the number of Tonies available in the UK and Ireland set to grow from 45 to 65 by the end of this year alone.
The current characters in the Tonies-Family already include some well-known faces such as The Gruffalo, Stick Man, Little Red Riding Hood and The Snowman and with new Tonies and Creative-Tonies ready to join the family there are endless adventures for little ones to enjoy in 2019.
