SmartMax’s My First Totem scoops Platinum and Gold wins at Loved by Parents Awards

Excitement reached fever pitch at SmartMax HQ recently, when the team learned it had scooped both Platinum and Gold in the prestigious Loved by Parents Awards for its newest product, My First Totem.

The new toy took the winning spots in not one, or two, but three categories at the awards.

My First Totem received Platinum for ‘Best Construction Toy 1-3yrs’, ‘Best Stimulative Toy 1-3yrs’, and Gold for the ‘Best Innovative Toy 2019’ at this years’ Loved by Parents Awards. Alongside the win, and as part of the winner’s prize, the brand will now reach over 6 million parents and 700,000 social fans a month via the toy’s spot on the Loved by Parents website.

The award wins for My First Totem serve as a real coup for SmartMax, having only just launched to product and adding to the My First brand that hit shelves in 2017.  The ‘My First’ sets have become a best-selling range for the brand, that allows children aged one and upwards the chance to explore the world of magnetism in a fun and safe way.

The My First Totem set features eight colourful magnetic building blocks, with different sounds, styles and textures. Little ones can combine the sensory blocks to build the coolest totem; or follow one of the 24 fun challenges on the cards provided.

Karen Clarke, brand director for Smart Toys and Games, said: “We are over the moon for SmartMax to have won not one, but two awards at the Loved by Parents Awards. It is so great to get feedback from real parents and to hear that My First Totem is stimulating minds and helping little ones to get constructing.”
