Board Game Club to celebrate the launch of The Board Game Book

Board Game Club’s next event is taking an unusual turn as the June event prepares to help launch the latest must-read for any board game fan, Owen Duffy’s The Board Game Book.
As an official supporter of this Kickstarter-funded guide, Board Game Club will also be giving five copies away as prizes to guests.

Taking place from 6.30pm on Tuesday, June 25 at London’s Century Club, Soho, the grown-up games night will showcase an array of games featured in the brand-new book, which sold out at the recent UK Games Expo in Birmingham’s NEC.

Written by the tabletop-game journalist Owen Duffy, The Board Game Book lists his pick of the games from the past year, many of which also happen to be firm favourites at Board Game Club. Duffy’s book is available to buy now for £23 on Amazon.

In addition, Board Game Club guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco with which to toast the book’s release. Add your name to the free guest list now by emailing

Board Game Club was founded by Playtime PR’s Lesley Singleton and Toyologist Peter Jenkinson back in 2014, with the aim of bringing together industry bods, influencers and enthusiasts through a love of tabletop gaming.

The nights regularly feature an eclectic mix of fun-to-play, sociable card, party and dice games and have been used as testing grounds and launch pads for an array of titles.
