Hit video game title Sea of Thieves is getting its own role-play tabletop title

Sea of Thieves, the hit video game title from the same team that created N64’s Goldeneye masterpiece, is the latest from the digital realm to undergo the tabletop gaming treatment.

Mongoose Publishing has been appointed the task of translated the popular MMO title into a role-playing tabletop title, and is scheduled to launch Sea of Thieves Roleplaying Game to fans this October.

A PDF of the manuals is available now for £30, and the box set is £60. Mongoose has promised “the new Avast system” will deliver “quick and easy play”, starting with a tutorial voyage for newcomers and veterans alike.

“The rules are designed for quick, immersive roleplaying that favours action, problem solving and above all, fun,” reads the firm’s product description.

Character cards, tokens and a set of 18 dice, along with a treasure chest of accessories and materials, comes with the swashbuckling adventure game.
