Changes are afoot at the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo where a new CEO has stepped in in the shape of the former Reddit man, Andy Yang.
Yang takes over from the company’s outgoing CEO, David Mandelbrot. The move takes place alongside several other employees said to be leaving the firm. Indiegogo has yet to confirm the claim made by sources close to the company.
Mandelbrot – who has served at Indiegogo for six years, starting as SVP of operations in August 2013 – announced his own departure via LinkedIn citing personal reasons. He has been credited for drawing attention to the platform from a number of its now key partners, including the likes of LEGO.
According to TechCrunch, his replacement, Andy Yang, comes to Indiegogo from Reddit where most recently he was leading its product team.
