Big Potato has big plans for global growth, starting with Distoy

The Shoreditch-based party game specialist, Big Potato is not keeping its plans for world domination a secret, detailing a renewed focus on international expansion when it lands at Distoy this year.

Distributed across 28 countries already, some of Big Potato’s UK bestsellers have proven to be just as popular in the international markets, having seen success with the likes of Colourbrain, The Chameleon, and the triple award-winning social deduction game, Weird Things Humans Search For.

But with just under 30 countries now on the books, the work for Big Potato does not end there. The firm is now on the lookout for further international distribution and more distributors to work with and hopes that its appearance at Distoy this year will prove just as fruitful as its turn at Nuremberg earlier this year.

Emmanuelle de Lestapis, head of international sales, will be at Distoy from May 28 to show off five new Big Potato games. The hero of the lineup is 20-Second Showdown, a fast and frantic family game that’s packed with 400 different challenges.

“Last year went really well for us in terms of developing our games in new markets. We found great partners that we’re proud to work with, and I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us,” said Lestapis. “We had a positive reaction towards our new games at Nuremberg, so I’m really looking forward to Distoy.”
