Peaky Blinders is now getting its own board game from Just Games

Sit down Arthur, Grace has got something to… play.

Yep, that’s right – there’s a Peaky Blinders board game heading to town and it is scheduled to hit shelves this October, allowing fans fo the show to follow in the footsteps of the notorious Shelby family.

The title itself is currently under development by Just Games, who is working in collaboration with the global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group in a first of its kind partnership for the pair.

Peaky Blinders is produced for the BBC and Netflix by Peaky Blinders’ brand owner and producer Caryn Mandabach Productions and by Endemol Shine UK’s Tiger Aspect Productions. Created and written by Steven Knight, the series, is distributed by Endemol Shine International across more than 180 countries.

Peaky Blinders has won multiple awards including the 2018 BAFTA for Best Drama Series and Best Drama at the 2019 National Television Awards.

“A Peaky Blinders board game fits perfectly with our games portfolio of high-quality games, often based on successful (TV) licenses. Obtaining the worldwide board game licensing rights of Peaky Blinders is a logical next step in our strategy to develop more international games that can be launched in every country,” said Geert Kruijswijk, director of business development and partnerships at Just Media Group.

“We have developed a unique gameplay that will entertain every game enthusiast and fan of the series.”

The game will see players travel back to the golden twenties, and land them in Birmingham, where, after the first World War, differing factions are at war. Players have to increase personal stats like charisma, strength and intellect to overcome enemies and accomplish missions. Each must attempt to create a network of friends and enemies, make investments and confront their biggest competitors to win.

Just Games is introducing the Peaky Blinders board game during the Distoy in London, taking place 28–31 May 2019. The company has already seen success with games based on Pablo Escobar, Jurassic World and Candy Crush. In addition to family games, the publisher develops children’s games, memory games and puzzles, often based on successful (TV) licenses.
