Independent Toy & Gift Show visitor numbers grow 15 per cent

The AIS Independent Toy and Gift Show is celebrating a record attendance for this year’s event, having seen second day visitor numbers increase by 15 per cent on last year’s show.

The show kicked off last Monday, April 29th when it saw visitor numbers match the previous year’s first day of the show. This soon grew, however, rounding off this year’s proceedings with record attendee figures.

This year’s theme of ‘Jigsaws and Puzzles’ was also well received and the show’s organisers have extended thanks to both of its main sponsors, Gibsons and Jumbo Games for their support this year.

“We received several comments from attendees that suppliers had improved the quality of their displays and the ‘Best Stand Award ‘was won by Playmobil who combined theatrical models, with both a digital display and a moving diorama,” read a statement from the team behind the show.

Playmobil’s Andrew Fernandes received the Best Stand reward from the Chairman of the show’s Retail Strategy Committee, David Fynn. The runners up were Juratoys (Janod), Tinc and Professor Puzzle who were all highly commended.

“We look forward to welcoming both visitors and exhibitors to the next Independent Toy and Gift Show in 2020,” concluded the team.
