IMC Toys USA has launched its own animated series based on its popular toy IP Cry Babies and Cry Babies Magic Tears. More than 35 episodes can now be viewed on the Cry Babies YouTube channel.
Season one and two of the new animation will also be available on Amazon Prime and Instagram TV later this month. The series has been developed to ‘bring a complete entertainment experience to kids.’
“The series has already gained fantastic momentum since it first rolled out in August 2018 in Europe, garnering more than 250 million views and over 700k subscribers worldwide,” said Karen Branson, VP sales, IMC Toys USA.
“Kids love to use their imagination and expand their play experience, and we thought it was the perfect move to introduce the Magic Tears world to Cry Babies fans through which they can really bond with their favourite characters.”
The weekly series follows the adventures of six core Cry Babies Magic Tears characters and their pets. All episodes have their own standalone narrative, where the Cry Babies Magic Tears invite fans to see the world through their eyes.
The series is best suited for viewers age 3 to 6 years and aims to instil positive values in children in a fun and engaging way.
IMC Toys US Inc. entered the North American market last year with the interactive baby doll line – Cry Babies. The brand now has a mini collectables line, which will be available as a blind series in Fall 2019 at Target as well as many other retailers nationwide.
