PS4’s bestselling God of War gets tabletop treatment in new card game

The 3.1 million best-selling PS4 title, God of War is making its way to the realms of tabletop gaming, thanks to the efforts of the card and board game specialist, CMON.

God of War: The Card Game follows the 2018 reboot of the PlayStation franchise and sees players take control of the gods themselves as they each battle it out to prevent the Viking apocalypse, Ragnarok.

To do so, players will take on the roles of characters like Kratos, Atreus, Mimir and Freya as they fight monsters and venture out on quests. The God of War card game is scheduled to land this summer.

But that’s not the only PS4 video game adaptation CMON has planned for this year, having already detailed it plans to hit Kickstarter to secure funding and roll out for its tabletop take on the hit title Bloodborne.

Bloodborne the boardgame plunges players into the gothic horror setting of its original RPG video game title. The Bloodborne title will land on Kickstarter later this year.
