Orchard Toys has appointed Robert Mann to the role of export sales manager, marking the industry exec’s return to the toy space after a four year spell working as an international business consultant.
Mann comes in to replace Mary Watson, who after 19 years with the company, is stepping into retirement this month.
Managing director, Simon Newbery, said: “We were delighted when Robert expressed an interest in joining Orchard Toys and it took very little time to agree that this is a perfect fit for both parties. Robert brings with him a wealth of industry experience and an ambition to drive export sales forward, that is in line with our own.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming him aboard and I know that he will build on the fantastic base that Mary created for Orchard Toys in export markets. Of course, our thanks and best wishes go out to Mary for a long and happy retirement.”
Mann added: “I am excited and looking forward to joining Orchard Toys and being associated with a great team and product portfolio. Mary has done a fantastic job to develop the company’s reach internationally and I hope to capitalise on this foundation and bring new opportunities to Orchard Toys through my extensive business experience.”
