Global Gaming Technologies has detailed the release of a new tabletop gaming title to mark the next step in AI integration with play.
X2 Games Corp’s title St Noire is billed as the first Amazon Alexa powered board game, that plays out as a murder mystery game set in the town of St Noire.
Players are challenged to take on the role of detective by asking questioning suspects through voice commands and piece together clues to solve the case before time runs out.
The game features captivating sound design, as well as writing and voice-acting by Hollywood talent, in a game play that spans 20 to 30 minutes. The game can be played with any number of players and, according to the developers, is ‘infinitely replayable.’
Co-founder, president and chief creative officer of X2 Games, Zai Ortiz, commented on the launch of the X2 Games’ first game title: “St. Noire represents the first of its class. This is a one-of-a-kind and revolutionary breakthrough in not just technology, but also in how humans interact with it in a positive and exciting format in everyday life.
"This is the beginning of the future of gaming.”
Zai Ortiz is currently attending numerous gaming conferences this month to exhibit St. Noire, including the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, California where X2 Games will be a part of Amazon’s booth to showcase St. Noire and the South by Southwest Conference (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
