Schleich begins expanding product lines for Horse Club and Eldrador Creatures with Spreadshirt

The German toy maker Schleich has made a move into apparel with the appointment of its first textiles partner in the e-commerce company, Spreadshirt.

The new deal sees Spreadshirt build on its portfolio of licenses to become distributor for a line of merchandise based on Schleich’s branded play worlds Horse Club, Bayala and Eldrador Creatures.

Currently, Spreadshirt is has more than 50 designs for the three play worlds available via its own marketplace, as well as on Amazon and eBay across the UK and Europe. The range, targeting boys and girls aged five to 12, allows fans of Schleich’s branded worlds to ‘carry their favourite characters and colourful motifs’ on both clothing and accessories.

"With Spreadshirt, our new partner for apparel, we are united by our love of detail and the high quality standards of our products," says Monika Bleile, brand and licensing manager at Schleich.

"In addition, we both have the ambition of bringing a smile to the face of every ‘little’ customer with our products".

By working with the toy manufacturer, Spreadshirt is further expanding its range of licenses for children. In addition to the products from the Schleich play worlds, there are motifs from numerous children’s films and series such as The Little Prince, Asterix and Smiley on the Spreadshirt marketplace.
